Ali Travel is a licensed tour operator and a hostel in Ha Giang city, run by Nguyen Hai Duc and a team of riders and guides who grew up on the roads of the loop. We sell one thing well: the Ha Giang Loop, done safely, at a fair price, with the people who live here.
How it started
Ali Hostel opened as a small place in Ha Giang city where riders arriving on the night bus could sleep, leave their bags and ask the staff which road to take. Guests kept asking the same thing: could someone from here ride with them? So we trained our first Easy Riders, then our first guides, and applied for the international travel licence that lets us run tours properly, with insurance and permits filed for every guest. The hostel is still the start line of every loop we run.
What we run
How we work
- Small groups. Essential groups take up to 10 guests, Classic tours up to 6. Nobody rides alone at the back.
- Riders from here. Our Easy Riders and guides are from Ha Giang and the villages on the loop. They know which pass fogs up at 07:00 and which homestay cooks the best dinner.
- One price, nothing hidden. Every tour price is per person and already includes 8% VAT and the border-area permit. Bus tickets and bike rental are passed on at cost.
- Insured, every guest. Travel insurance with BIC is included on every tour, and we file the claim for you if something happens.
- Straight talk about licences. If your permit is not valid in Vietnam, we say so before you pay and put you behind an Easy Rider instead.
- A small deposit, the rest on arrival. 500,000 ₫ per guest holds your place. You pay the balance at our office in Ha Giang, after you have met your rider.

Ali Hostel, the front door
Every tour leaves from here at 09:00 and comes back here. Night-bus guests get a free bed from 04:00; riders leave their bags in the luggage room and pick them up after the loop. Dorm beds, private rooms, hot showers, a breakfast counter and the bikes parked out front.
The team you will meet
Reception staff who speak English and know the bus timetables by heart. Easy Riders who ride the loop every week. Guides who translate at the homestay dinner table. And a founder who still checks every bike before it goes out.
